Questions before you commit.
Direct answers about the product’s scope, data, pricing, AI assistance, contractor access, and the decisions that still belong to you.
01What is Project Pilot Pro?
A homeowner planning workspace for renovations and homeowner-led, ground-up single-family projects. It helps organize readiness, preliminary estimates, scope, bids, decisions, build records, and closeout.
02Are estimates contractor quotes?
No. Estimates are preliminary planning ranges based on the scope and assumptions selected. Local labor, material prices, site conditions, design, permits, and contractor availability can materially change the final cost.
03Do I need an account?
No account is required to take a public readiness assessment or create a preliminary estimate. An account is required to save a private project workspace, upload files, invite collaborators, or purchase project access.
04How does AI appear in the product?
Some features can extract structured fields from documents or suggest evidence-cited comparisons and summaries. Those outputs are labeled, limited to the supplied records, and may fall back to deterministic checks. They can be incomplete or wrong and require review.
05Does Project Pilot share my project with contractors?
Not automatically. Contractor access is limited to a project-specific portal the project owner deliberately shares. Contractors cannot browse other homeowner projects. Project Pilot does not currently operate an open contractor marketplace.
06Does Project Pilot verify or recommend contractors?
No. The contractor-vetting workspace helps a homeowner record license, insurance, reference, scope, and follow-up evidence. It does not independently verify, rank, endorse, or guarantee a contractor.
07What does Project Pilot Complete include?
Complete is a one-time $199 unlock for one named project. The public pricing page is the current source for included workspaces and purchase terms. It does not auto-renew.
08What is Home Care?
Home Care is an optional $9.99 monthly subscription for a completed project. It organizes warranty, maintenance, repair, and permanent home-record tasks. Billing and cancellation are handled through the secure customer portal.
09Can I export or delete my data?
Export tools are available in specific workspaces, including closeout records. For account-level access, correction, export, or deletion—or if project deletion is unavailable—contact support and choose ‘Privacy or data request.’
10Does Project Pilot determine permits or code compliance?
No. The product can record permit and inspection evidence, but the authority having jurisdiction and qualified professionals determine requirements, approvals, and compliance.
11What should I avoid sending to support?
Do not send card numbers, government IDs, passwords, full contracts, project documents, photos, or other sensitive project material. A short description and the account email are usually enough to begin.
12Where can I get help?
Use the public support form for account access, billing, privacy, product, or technical questions. The form confirms whether the request was actually delivered.
